Tulare County requires shooters to complete an 8-hour initial CCW training course. 4-hours classroom time and 4-hours range time. The recertification course is a 4-hour course with 2-hours classroom time and 2-hours range time.
Yes. Shooters will have to score 50% of what their respective weapon carries. By the end of our class, you will feel confident enough to score 100%. You can find the qualification course on the Tulare County Sheriff's website.
No, it is a multi-state permit.
We will accommodate all shooters to the best of our ability and have a Spanish speaking shooter feeling comfortable with someone they can understand. Be sure to advise us when you request a course.
Yes. Our Basic Firearms Course is designed for new shooters to get comfortable with shooting firearms.
Yes. We offer anywhere from one-on-one classes to a group up to ten. Let us know what you are in need of regarding private classes and we will work out the details.
Yes. It is requested that you bring a firearm to the basic class however, we provide options of renting a firearm for the course.
All pistol classes require a holster. Either IWB (Inside Waist Band) or OWB (Outside Waist Band) is acceptable.
It is preferred that you use factory ammunition as reloads are unpredictable and may cause injury. If reloads are being requested for use, please notify instructor staff prior to class.
